Dear colleagues and friends,

On behalf of the International Menopause Society (IMS) and the
Spanish National Menopause Association (AEEM), I am pleased to
cordially invite you to the 12th World Congress on the Menopause,
to be held in Madrid, Spain, 19-23 May 2008.
As you may know, new medicines are appearing with good prospects
in women’s health, so it is necessary for experts to meet and
discuss these launches.
This meeting will provide the opportunity for members of the
Society and distinguished guests to exchange views and ideas,
discuss recent knowledge and possible measures in order to improve
the health and well-being of the menopausal women all over the
world.
Topics for the Congress will be carefully chosen by the Scientific
Committee, including of course the most controversial issues of
the speciality. Internationally renowned speakers will be invited to
present these topics, in order to create an effective forum for
discussing and debating, allowing participants to interactively
participate in the discussions.
Apart from a very interesting scientific programme, the venue of
the meeting, Madrid, offers a wide range of attractions: history,
culture, a delicious cuisine and the most friendly atmosphere… all
of these combined to allow you to enjoy a wonderful social programme!
I therefore cordially invite you all to participate in this great scientific
and cultural event in Madrid.
We look forward to seeing you!
Yours sincerely,
Santiago Palacios
Congress President

Message from the President of IMS |
|
|
Dear colleagues and friends,

It gives me a great pleasure to invite you on behalf of the
International Menopause Society (IMS) to participate in our 2008
World Congress in Madrid.
Each venue of the past congresses had its special cultural and
historical features to be remembered along with the superb
scientific environment.
Moving from one continent to another emphasizes the global
perspectives of IMS.
The Berlin 2002 Congress belongs to the pre-WHI study era, the
Buenos-Aires 2005 Congress marks the recovery from the WHI adverse
impacts, and hopefully, the themes of the Madrid 2008 Congress
will cover new frontiers in all aspects of adult women's health.
I am certain that the programme will be stimulating and the
organizers will ensure that the sites, sounds and flavors of Spain
will always be remembered.
Amos Pines
President of the IMS
